Spring 2016 Style Refresh – Revitalize Your Look By Mixing Classics Irreverently

Like so many women, I have fallen into the “comfort” rut. Yoga pants and T-shirts or tank tops and tennis shoes, seven days a week. Which isn’t a problem until you forget how to dress in anything else! I miss fashion… but I’ve also gotten really used to being comfortable… and it’s a hard thing to change. I have to relearn how to have style – but I’m not ready to give up comfort!

This has been week one of busting out of my rut! I bought a bunch of fashion magazines – which is a terrific way to get ideas but at the same time if you’re determined to not spend any money (like me) it’s very frustrating! It’s really hard to get excited about clothes that I’ve owned for 10 or 20 years when there’s all this new fresh stuff on the market! Look at this now. I’m determined to use what I have before I purchase anything else. I’ve always leaned toward classic pieces. Now I just have to use them a bit more… irreverently. Although, I do enjoy refreshing my wardrobe now and then but, when I do, I always make sure that I’m bagging a bargain. Those looking to make savings when shopping for clothes could check out Raise for discounts on their favorite stores and brands like Macy’s, Target, Nike, and more!

Moving Numbers: Episodes 7, 8 & 9

Moving Numbers will let you follow a U.S. Senate campaign, in this 12 episode fictional dramedy about the often dysfunctional but never boring Sanders for U.S. Senate campaign. The series, set in Pennsylvania, will give viewers a real-world behind the scenes view of the struggles, challenges, and comedy that’s often associated with a high profile campaign for office.

Moving Numbers: Episodes 4, 5 & 6

Moving Numbers is an eight episode long political drama comedy series. It follows the hilariously dysfunctional campaign of Republican Congressman Robert Sanders (John Colton) for a senate seat for Pennsylvania. Congressman Sanders receives aid in his quest from characters including his Campaign Manager, Jason Mahoney (Peter McCain) and his loving wife, Beth (Monique Parent). The show’s title refers to a campaign’s goal – moving the poll numbers in their favor. The supporting cast includes everyone you’d expect to see in a political campaign, from campaign staffers and communications directors to pollsters and opposition researchers (the men and women who dig up the dirt on your political enemies) to advertising producers. The show, while fully scripted, has the feel of a zany reality show with ridiculous plotlines. The Pittsburgh Tribune Review described the show as “Primary Colors on steroids.” If you can’t get enough political excitement during the electoral off-season, Moving Numbers can help you get your political fix.

Moving Numbers: Episodes 1, 2 & 3

One of my favorite projects was a web series that I did called Moving Numbers about the behind the scenes of running a political campaign. Created by folks who run political campaigns. So it’s pretty darn entertaining! John Brabender (of BrabenderCox) created and wrote the series based on events and characters that he’s observed (and worked for) in dozens of real political campaigns.

The series follows the up-and-down campaign of Republican Congressman Bob Sanders and the characters who color campaign life. The first episode went online in late 2009 and focuses on a 60 day special election for U.S. Senate, from the ad-making process to the election night war room. It features tons of cameos from Pa. politicos.
