Stuff I Love and Recommend To My Friends

I have strong opinions, am terribly frugal, and have been around the block a few times. Here are a few of my favorite things. Blenders. Face creams. Makeup. Hair. Decorating. Cats. It’s all here. The favorites list. I’m literally walking around my apartment and listing all the things I would recommend to my friends.
The chandelier seen in many of my videos is acrylic and four feet long. Super dramatic and gives me a punch of glam, that simply hangs on a hook for less than $100. Buy them in a two pack and put on either side of the bed for a sexy, Hollywood Regency bedroom. Self-Adhesive Removable Wallpaper is a life changer for stylish apartment dwellers – no more Navaho White!

I adore my vintage Lucite bar cart! Not that I use it as a bar cart much….

For your health:

Get a Vitamix blender. I demonstrated and sold both Blendtec and Vitamix and have used Ninjas and NutriBullets as well as standard blenders for many years. I know they are expensive. They are worth it. I have the Classic 5200 which I think offers the most control for a variety of uses. If you know you are really just going to make smoothies and soups, go for the 7500 or ProSeries 750. And refurbished are just fine if you are on a budget, they are known for their great warranty. Check out my YouTube Series SortaHealthy® for recipes that are mostly, sorta healthy.

Coffee. A necessity of life in my world. And I have to have it from my French Press because life is too short for bad coffee. Check testosteroni sinkki.

Beauty Products:

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue is my everyday no-makeup makeup. Buttercream in the winter and Ginger in the summer. I mix the two as needed the rest of the year.

Primer keeps the shine down and makes my foundation last all day. If I am shooting, I like a good High Def Foundation and have used Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX for years. I want to try their Studio Skin next time – I’ll let you know how I like it!

I get a pimple once a month whether I like it or not. And usually more than that. Sulfur based drying lotions applied directly on the blemish mean my whole face doesn’t flip out into dry skin overdrive like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid would. Mario Badescu has the best ingredients and works a bit quicker but even Bye-Bye Blemish will have it flatter by morning. . You can check how many calories does green tea burn burniva.com.

Amazing Concealer in Medium Golden does a great job on under eye circles as well as any red spots (that seem to take forever to fade away) applied with a small concealer brush.

Keranique. The Shampoo and Conditioner are my daily faves and I try to use a  Purple Shampoo and Conditioner once every 3 washes to keep the silver looking cool.

False eyelashes are a must for any appearances and I hate the usual ones you buy at the drugstore – they are just too big! These half strip eyelashes are so much easier to put on and really make the eyes pop!

Favorite wig!

Favorite wig!

My sensitive, combination skin LOVES Oil of Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. I literally cry if I run out. When my skin is extra thirsty I give  it Olay Advanced Hydration.

When I need to do a little extra on my skin, I go with this peel. It’s got a little sting to it but beauty is pain, right?

Off camera face powder, just to knock down shine on a daily basis? Neutrogena Rice Powder

On camera I prefer the e.l.f. HD Powder. And for right under the eyes I use their under eye concealer powder.

For shooting, I absolutely love my Mac Haute & Naughty Mascara because I have so much application control! For everyday, I like my L’Oreal Voluminous Extra Volume in Black.

My favorite wigs! And wig accessories are listed on this page, and my current fave to wear out and about is the one pictured above.

I keep my silver locks luminous with Manic Panic Blue Steel once every few months.

Every year, the eyes get a little worse and I could not function without this mirror.

Eyebrows matter. I dye mine to give me a fuller look without looking like Joan Crawford (except when I am actually dyeing them – then I look VERY Joan Crawford). This is the dye I use. This is the developer. This is the Repelle Stain Shield seen in this video. And the tools you’ll need.

Cat stuff:

Sequel is a sucker for Da Bird. Jumps all over the place. Colby watches, vaguely amused at the childish antics.

When I am gone for 14 hour stints, I demonstrate poor parenting skills by turning on this DVD for the cats and they not only watch the TV they bat at and it keeps them very entertained!

Feliway keeps them from being too stressed when stressful things happen (like when Mom has to go out of town for a film and doesn’t want to come home to a cat pee soaked apartment!)
